These are insulated sub floor panels called OVRX. This is the first time my builder has used this product and he was impressed with them. They are laid on top of the cold, hard basement floor which turns it into a soft, temperature stable platform. Then you add your flooring choice on top of these panels. I had researched these and I am happy that we chose to use them.

The stone has been started on the front of the house. We were originally going to use manufactured stone, but did not like the look that it gave. We decided to use natural limestone instead. The cost difference is significant, but the look of real stone is much better. This provides a perfect French country look to the front facade.

Our stone ledge is stunning when looking at it in person. We did a lot of research to come up with the perfect transition between the brick on top and the limestone on the bottom.

Good Weather and Great Progress.

In this update you are seeing the brick being started finally and the spray foam insulation is complete.

Extra insulation in my office walls to prevent noise transfer.

This is the ceiling above the kitchen. We had the pipes spray foamed to help cut down on noise from water running inside the pipes.

This is Jayden's room from the family room. You will notice that we used extra insulation in the walls to help cut down on noise coming from the living room area.

The spray foam is absolutely a great product to use. This will make the house much more comfortable because it seals the entire envelope and cuts back on air exchange from the external weather. Fiberglass on these walls would not of been very efficient.

The long wall to the right is a shared wall with Jenna's room so again we used extra insulation to cut down on noise.

Notice how the tub is completely surrounded by spray foam. This helps with noise and also keeps the tub surface warmer to the touch.

This is a picture of the walls in Jenna's room. Her roof line was spray foamed as well to eliminate the need for ugly roof vents on the driveway side of the house.
