What's All This Fuss With The Camera Stuff??

I thought I would post up a picture so you can visually see how impressive the Nikon DSLR cameras really are. I took this shot from my Nikon D40 with the 18-200mm VR lens and then took it again with my Canon point and shoot camera. I had all the lights off and pointed the camera at a door jam that is 20 feet away. The Canon had a very difficult time even focusing the smallest amount. It would take forever before letting me take the picture. The Nikon could focus immediately and with the VR feature it provided rock solid clarity in complete darkness other than the built in flash. I can't physically see the jam in the dark, but the lens can pick it up and focus on its own.

First the Canon photo.

You can immediately notice how much "noise" is apparent in the photo and it is out of focus. Also notice that you can't see anything behind the door hinge.

Now for the Nikon D40 shot.

Now you tell me which shot looks better. Also notice with the DSLR shot you can see the blue broom handle behind the hinge. This is why we boys like our toys!!!

The following are today's gratuitous baby shots. I really like this first shot, but it still has a touch of red eye. Adding the SB 400 flash should take care of this problem.

Dad seriously get that camera out of my face please.

Hmm I'm hungry. This thing tastes like chicken!!
