The Nikkor "VR" Is Here!!!!

IT'S HERE!!!!

As the title says, it's here. Sorry for the quality of some of these pictures, as most of them were taken with my little Canon Power Shot SD 800IS. It is a great little camera but has a hard time indoors.

Man this lens is nice. It looks and feels like a high quality Nikkor Lens. The zoom range is perfect and the VR adds a very nice touch when trying to take photo's of a toddler.

She can move fast and I don't use a tripod, so the extra insurance is perfect. It is definitely a heavy lens. It weighs more than my D 40, but should be the perfect weight to balance out my D 300. I am also going to have to get the SB 400 flash to add to my D 40 setup. The built in flash is actually pretty good, but it does struggle when taking pictures indoors under low light situations. It tends to wash out the immediate area. With the SB 400 I can bounce the flash off of the ceiling. This is also nice when taking pictures of toddlers, because it does not startle them like the built in flash tends to do. Nikon has really produced a nice lens here and hopefully I will get some time in the next few days to continue taking some pictures and trying it out. I also got the Hoya filter kit with it today as you can see the UV filer on the end in the first picture.

I bought mine from B&H Photo out of New York and it is the USA model. B&H should of added a little more packing material to the box though. As expensive as this lens is, it deserves top notch protection during shipping.
