We had horrible weather for a few days. It snowed on a Sunday and the temperatures dropped which caused the snow and ice to stick around for three days. Luckily the forecast is great for the next seven days so we were told that the roof and roof sheathing should be complete by the end of the week. FINALLY!!! This will make progress much better because we will be shifting all the work towards the inside trades which are not dependent on good weather.
The next few updates should be really interesting.

Cross bracing the 10ft. basement walls. This is just another step that my framing contractor does for a professional job.

This picture shows the beautiful sloped, French Country style roof that we are having installed. The open area in the framing is a neat new addition to the house. We decided our bedroom was too small so we increased the size by 7ft. This caused Jenna's room to be shifted as well. The upside was that the move allowed us to create a neat dormer in Jenna's room which will also be a nice cosmetic change to the exterior roof line.
